RPS1 – Vintage Classic
Inspired by an assortment of actual vintage pickups from the 50’s to the early 60’s, our Vintage Classic Set mimics the same mojo and magic that oozes out of the tones we are all familiar with.
Featuring our hand-bevelled magnet pole pieces, with specially charged, and then de-charged magnets to take off the nasty top end shrill. If you’re not a fan of harsh strat tones, then this is the set for you!
Also featured on this set is our revolutionary pole piece stagger which is slightly different than a traditional Strat where they used to use a wound G, instead of a plain G; this allows for our pickups to achieve the best string balance on most instruments as much as possible.
Neck and Middle Pickups feature Alnico 5 magnets, while the bridge is a combination of Alnico 5 (E,A,D) and Alnico 3(G,B,E) and have RWRP in the middle position.
RPS2 – Grey Bottomed Blues
During 1964, grey bottomed pickups started showing up on the Strats that the players we all know and love use. The pickups got hotter, the magnet quality also improved and started to have much more consistency than they’re early counterparts. This resulted in a pickup with more snap and more pronounced dynamics in terms of your pick attack.
RPS4 – Pride & Joy SRV SET
Pride and Joy, says it all. This set was designed to offer players with a hotter sound which is yet versatile that are synonymous with the over wound pickups that started appearing in about 1959.
The neck and middle are wound to emulate the rich piano like bass and thick trebles that many of us are familiar with as the Texas Sound. The bridge pickup even with an output at 9k Ohms, was re-designed to give players a more modern tone when used with high gain without the harsh top-end shrill.

For fans of The Shadows and Hank Marvin, this set will get you the closest to one of the most classic holy grail of Strat tones since the dawn of the electric guitar.
